Lions score late winner against Los Trocos

In a physically demanding game, played out on a poor surface, the Lions dug in to earn another three points, maintaining their place at the top of the league.

After taking an early lead through Michael Hmun, the team conceded quickly afterward, and the 1-1 scoreline held all the way to 85 mins, when Captain Mluli Mmunga broke down the right flank, carrying the ball half the length of the pitch. His strong finish to the bottom left hand corner eased the Lions' growing concern that another three points were about to go begging.

Mluli Mmunga's late winner keeps the Lions on course.

As the season approaches the half way point, the Lions remain five points clear at the top of the table, with close rivals Revelations FC to play this Sunday.
